ELECTRIC bikes East Lothian
Located just 15 miles east of Edinburgh in Macmerry, watts Electric Bikes is a division of Argyle International Ltd t/a Greengauge and is located in an ideal situation to ride your Ebike and enjoy the countryside and some of the many local cycle routes.
The electric motor assistance makes hills and inclines much easier to navigate.
The rider can adjust how much assistance they require from the motor on an ongoing basis as they enjoy the scenery. For instance, it is possible to use less assistance when riding on the flat and the going is easier. You can then increase to a higher level of assistance on a slope when it is getting harder to pedal.
Riding watts Ebikes makes cycling a pleasure! POWER your journey!
Local routes
East Lothian is known as the ‘Garden County’ and with its coastal towns, towns, villages, Castles and rolling countryside it has endless opportunities for a great day out on your watts Ebike.
It has 40 miles (64 km) of coastline. The coast has several headlands and bays, most notably Gosford Bay, Aberlady Bay, Gullane Point, Sandy Hirst, Tyne Mouth, Belhaven Bay, Barns Ness, Chapel Point and Torness Point. Within view are several small islands off the coast north of North Berwick, the largest of these being Fidra, Lamb, Craigleith and Bass Rock.
To the south are the Lammermuir Hills along the boundary with Berwickshire; it is here that Meikle Says Law, the highest point in the county at 535 metres (1,755 ft), can be found. Major bodies of water include Pressmennan Lake, the Whiteadder Reservoir, Hopes Reservoir, Stobshiel Reservoir and Lammerloch Reservoir.
Test Ride a watts ELECTRIC bike
watts Ebikes are happy to demonstrate a range of electric bikes to show just how easy they are to ride. The control system is easy to operate and allows the rider to choose a level of assistance that they require on their journey whilst managing the power remaining in the battery.
watts Ebikes couldn’t be easier to recharge, they come complete with a small charger. The battery can be charged either on or off the bike. Most owners take the battery indoors to charge. A full charge costs only a few pence and takes around 4-5 hours. The batteries can however be ‘topped up’ at any point so that they are fully charged for the next outing.
